If someone asks you which news shocks you most in Electronic industry, of course most of us call to mind Steve Jobs has passed away .
Steve Jobs, former Apple CEO, the mastermind behind Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac and iTunes, has died, Apple said. Jobs was 56.
The Apple Company has a history of bouncing back. In January 2009, after he announced his second medical leave, Apple stock dropped to $78.20 per share. But it quickly recovered and became one of the most successful stocks on Wall Street. On one day in the summer of 2011, with the stock hitting the $400 level, Apple briefly passed ExxonMobil as the world’s most valuable company.

Mac users sometime have some MXF files which from the camcorder want to edit and play them on Mac, but at this time, they don’t know how to use these MXF files on Mac. In order to use these files, you must convert MXF files on Mac. Before converting MXF files on Mac, let’s learn something about MXF files.
MXF is a “container” or “wrapper” format which supports a number of different streams of coded “essence”, encoded with any of a variety of codec, together with a metadata wrapper which describes the material contained within the MXF file.
But MXF file format is not compatible with many programs, so you have to convert MXF files on Mac. But how? Obviously we must adopt a third party tools in order to fix it.
Currently, MXF is fairly effective at the interchange of D10 (IMX) material, mainly because of the success of the Sony eVTR and Sony’s eVTR RDD to SMPTE. Workflows combining the eVTR, Avid NLE systems, and broadcast servers using MXF in coordination with AAF are now possible.
There are lots of programs dealing with MXF, today we mainly talk about MXF converter for Mac and Aunsoft TransMXF for Mac.
MXF Converter is an import/conversion tool that can import DVCam or IMX from any Sony XDCAM deck. It directly converts MXF streams into QuickTime movies usable with Final Cut Pro.
Aunsoft TransMXF is a camcorder converter or a video tool that helps you convert MXF to various video formats, MOV, AVI, MP4, XviD, DivX, MPEG, etc. It is a useful conversion tool for Panasonic P2 and Canon XF users or any other kinds of camcorders that shoot videos in MXF format. TransMXF enables you to enjoy your memories on computer, to further edit videos from MXF camcorders, or to share your MXF camcorder videos online in web-friendly format. Furthermore, you can load and control your camcorder videos on popular portable devices including iPad, Nexus One, HTC Hero, Zune, iPod, PSP, Apple TV, iPhone whenever and wherever you like.

These two programs, in my opinion, are both nice but there are some differences between them:
MXF Converter will take you 995 dollars, but Aunsoft TransMXF only needs 35 bucks. In addition, the conversion speed of TransMXF is faster too. It will fast transcode MXF to various Apple ProRes formats (ProRes 422/ProRes 422 HQ/ProRes 422 LT/ProRes 422 Proxy/ProRes 4444) for editing in FCP. All those options are listed in its profile list. What’s more, as the best MXF Converter, it is able to convert MXF videos to Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC)(*.mov), DV/DVCPRO(50)-PAL(*.mov), DV/DVCPRO(50)-NTSC(*.mov), HDV/DVCPRO HD 1080p/i(*.mov) or Avid DNxHD(*.mov), etc on Mac OS X compatible with Final Cut Express, iMovie, Avid Media Composer and more.
In shorts, Aunsoft TransMXF is great MXF Converter for your FCP X, iMovie and iDVD, etc.
