Sony’s ultracompact Bloggie HD and Sony Bloggie Touch come with PMB Portable software that is embedded in the camcorders themselves, while the PMB Portable software isn’t as extensive as Sony’s regular edition of PMB, but it has a simpler design and is geared towards helping you upload footage to YouTube or other websites. And PMB software does not offer Macintosh compatibility.
While looking for solutions to import Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20/ MHS-TS10 to iMovie ‘11 on iMac, I downloaded and tried several converters. Only Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac works. I like the batch processing and joining of multiple videos into one file. The editing feature to trim the recorded videos is great, as I can control the content for conversion.

For guys who may find it difficult to import and edit Bloggie MP4/HD MP4 files on Mac, here is the fast guide to merge and convert Bloggie Touch MP4/HD MP4 to MOV for iMovie 11.
Step 1. Import Sony Bloggie Touch MP4 files to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Connect Sony Bloggie camcorder to iMac with USB 2.0 cable, run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best Boggie Touch MP4 to MOV converter on Mac. Click the “Add” button to import .mp4 files from the camcorder, or drag and drop the .mp4 files from folder to converter.
Step 2. Choose HD MOV output format.
Click the “Format” option and choose HD Video > H.264 HD Video(*.mov) as output format. The Mac Sony Bloggie Touch converter will convert Sony Bloggie Touch 1080p MP4 to HD MOV with H.264 as video codec. You may also choose QuickTime Movie Format > Apple InterMediate Codec (AIC) as output format with high quality for iMovie 11.

Step 3. Merge Bloggie Touch MP4 or HD MP4 files into one. (optional)
Tick the checkbox for “Merge into one file”, and the Mac Bloggie Touch mp4 joiner will combine and join the files on list into a single file.
Step 4. Edit and trim mp4 videos. (optional)
Select the file you want to trim and click the “Editor” button, you will face the Editor window with original video and output video preview. You can enter exact time point as the set in and set out for trimming.
Step 5. Convert Sony Bloggie Touch MP4 to MOV on Mac.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the Mac Sony Bloogie MP4 video converter will start the conversion from Sony Bloggie MP4 to AIC MOV or H.264 MOV for iMovie 11 on Mac.
Tips:
1. For some Mac users, when editing the HD videos via the Editor windows of Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac, the video and sound may go output sync sometimes, making it somewhat difficult to find the trim location. But the output videos would play without sync problem after conversion.
