After shooting some test footage on an HVX-200, onto a P2 card in DVCPRO HD 1080/60i, I am not able to import the MXF files into Final Cut Pro. I no longer have the camera, and have deduced that when I dumped the data from the P2 onto my hardrive, I failed to copy the lastclip.txt file. I am also not able to view the MXF files in any other way.
What is the best way (program) to convert MXF files into DVCPRO HD 1080/60i Quicktime files, that Final Cut Pro will be able to import? What shall i do?
So I Searched Google and many forums.And i lucky.I found Aunsoft video converter through Google search engine. Step 1: Free download, install and launch Aunsoft MXF Converter.
Step 2: Click “Add†to browse your computer’s documents for the MXF videos you want to convert. You can add more than one file at a time.
Step 3: In the drop down list menu of “Formatâ€, please select the output video format you want to get. You want to convert MXF to MKV, please select MKV, convert MXF to MP4, please select MP4, like to convert MXF to MPEG, please select MPGE, demand to convert MXF to AVI, just select AVI, etc. Then specify a location on your computer where the new file should be saved.
Step 4: Click “Convert†to begin converting the MXF files.
Ok, this is it, my personal conversion experience going through with MXF files produced by my Panasonic P2 camera. Hope it helps for you guys who have the same MXF editing problem as I did.
