Convert TiVo to MOV without losing quality on Mac

I recorded some TiVo clips and attempted to play them on my Mac or edit them on editing software. However, the video format TiVo can not be accepted by most media players on my Mac after transferring TiVo to my Mac via a free TiVo Desktop Software for Mac.
